Five tips for a smooth activation
- Download only from Microsoft or the link in your order email. Never use third-party mirror sites.
- Match the edition to the key. A Pro key activates Pro, a 2021 key activates 2021.
- Remove trials and older versions first, especially Microsoft 365 trials before installing Office.
- Copy and paste the key to avoid typos like O and 0 or B and 8.
- Keep your order email. It's your proof of purchase and you may need the key again to reinstall.
