Which apps are included in Office 2024 Professional Plus?
Office 2024 Professional Plus includes six desktop apps: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote and Access. Publisher isn't part of Office 2024, because Microsoft is retiring it. Teams is a separate free download and isn't included in the suite.

What's the difference between Office 2024 Standard and Professional Plus?
The only app difference is Access: Professional Plus includes it and Standard doesn't. If you build or use Access databases, or simply want the full set, Professional Plus is the edition to choose. Neither Office 2024 edition includes Publisher.

A question we often get is whether Standard can open Access files. It can't: .accdb databases need Access, which only Professional Plus includes.
How does the 5-key pack work?
You get 5 separate 25-character product keys, and each key activates Office 2024 Professional Plus on one Windows PC. You don't have to activate them all at once: an unused key can wait for a computer you set up later.
Install Office on each computer and enter a different key on each one. A key that has already activated one PC won't activate a second, so it helps to note which key went to which computer.
A pack suits a household with several PCs or a small office that wants the same Office version everywhere. Using one version on every machine makes file sharing and day-to-day support simpler.
How long will Office 2024 get security updates?
Microsoft supports Office 2024 until 9 October 2029. It follows Microsoft's Fixed Lifecycle Policy: five years of mainstream support with security updates, and no extended support after that. During that time it gets security fixes, but no new features.
What are the system requirements for Office 2024 Professional Plus?
You need a PC running Windows 11 (or Windows 10 LTSC 2021/2019) with a 1.1 GHz dual-core processor, 4 GB of RAM and about 4 GB of free disk space. Regular Windows 10 Home and Pro aren't on Microsoft's supported list for Office 2024. Office 2024 Professional Plus doesn't run on macOS; Mac users need a Mac edition of Office.

How do I install and activate Office 2024 Professional Plus?
Each PC is set up the same way: install Office from the link in your email, then enter one of your 5 keys. Use a different key on every computer.
- On the first PC, uninstall any older Office or Microsoft 365 version from Settings → Apps.
- Download and install Office 2024 Professional Plus using the link in your order email.
- Open Word or Excel and enter the first key from your email when asked.
- Check File → Account shows "Product Activated".
- Repeat these steps on each of the other PCs, using the next unused key each time.
A common mistake with packs is entering a key that was already used on another PC, which makes activation fail. Mark each key as used as soon as it activates, and you will always know which ones are still free.
Frequently asked questions
Do I get one key or 5 separate keys?
You get 5 separate keys, all in the same email. Each one activates Office 2024 Professional Plus on one PC, so the pack covers 5 computers in total. There is no single master key that unlocks several PCs at once.
Can I use one key on two computers?
No. Each key in the pack activates Office on one PC only. To add another computer, you need another key. If you replace one of your PCs, contact our support team with your order number before you uninstall Office from it.
Does Office 2024 include Publisher?
No. Microsoft left Publisher out of every Office 2024 edition because it is retiring the app. Office 2021 and Office 2019 still include it, but Microsoft has said Publisher won't be supported after October 2026, so it's worth moving to another layout tool.
Is Office 2024 Professional Plus a one-time purchase?
Yes. You pay once and can keep using the apps with no subscription. Microsoft provides security updates for Office 2024 until 9 October 2029. After that, the apps keep working, but they no longer get new fixes.
