What can you do with Access 2024?
Access lets you build a database without being a programmer. You create tables for your data, link them with relationships, and add forms for entering records, queries for finding them and reports for printing them.
It's a good fit for data that has outgrown a spreadsheet: customer lists, stock control, asset registers or project tracking. Access can also connect to SQL Server and other data sources when you need more capacity.

What are the system requirements for Access 2024?
Access 2024 needs a Windows 11 PC with a 1.1 GHz dual-core processor, 4 GB of RAM and 4 GB of free disk space. Microsoft lists the same minimums for the whole Office 2024 family, including standalone apps. There's no Mac version of Access.

How long will Access 2024 get security updates?
Microsoft supports Access 2024 until 9 October 2029. Until then it receives security and quality updates through Microsoft Update, but no new features.
Microsoft doesn't offer extended support for the 2024 release, so 9 October 2029 is the final date for fixes. After that, the app keeps working without further updates.
How do I install and activate Access 2024?
Download Access with the link in your order email, install it, then enter your 25-character product key when Access asks for it. Remove other Access versions first, because leftover installs are the most common reason setup or activation fails.
- Uninstall any other version of Access, or an Office suite that includes it, from Settings → Apps.
- Download Access 2024 using the link in your order email.
- Run the installer and wait until it finishes.
- Open Access and enter the product key from your email when asked.
- Check File → Account: it should show “Product Activated”.
A common problem we see is a clash with Office that's already on the PC. Microsoft doesn't support two Click-to-Run installations that contain the same app, so Access 2024 can't sit next to Microsoft 365 or another Office version that already includes Access. An older MSI-based install such as Office 2016 can also block setup, so remove it first.

Does Access 2024 work on a Mac?
No. Access is only available for Windows, and Microsoft doesn't make a Mac version. Mac users who need Access usually run it in a Windows virtual machine with its own Windows licence, or share data through Excel instead.
Will Access 2024 get new features?
No. Access 2024 is a fixed release: Microsoft provides security and quality updates until 9 October 2029 but doesn't add new features. If you want new features as soon as they're released, a subscription such as Microsoft 365 is the alternative.
Can I move Access to a new PC later?
This key is for one PC. If you replace your computer, contact our support team with your order number before you uninstall from the old PC. Whether a transfer is possible depends on the licence type, so it's best to ask first.
Do I need Office installed to use Access 2024?
No. Access 2024 is a complete standalone app and installs on its own, without any other Office app. If the PC already has a different Office version that includes Access, remove it first, as explained in the installation section above.
